One of the most common questions we get from our shoppers is "Can you help me formal dresses tie this dress?" We don't blame you because we know tie backs are a trend to love, but here comes the For prom night, you'll want to be able to tie it with minimal effort. So here is the skirt tying guide:

Step 1: Put on the skirt! This may seem like a no-brainer, but keep in mind that you'll want to loosen the straps before putting it on, and more often than not, you'll want to pull the skirt over your head rather than stepping on it.

Step Two: Recruit another set of helpful hands. You can always try to tie yourself up, but sometimes the lacing is so weak that excessive pulling (which is common when you're doing this by yourself) can snap or tear the lacing.

Step Three: Position the skirt exactly where you want it to fall on your body. Once the skirt is secured, the belter starts tying. That way, the bodice stays in place on the wearer, and no one has to worry about a tie being too loose or a skirt slipping off.

Step 4: Tie Up! A lace-up heel is much like a sneaker; it starts at the top of the dress next to the wearer's shoulders and goes from there. Tightening the straps is easier when you pull through the loop rather than through the middle of your back. Make sure it's tight enough that the skirt doesn't slip off, but loose enough that it doesn't cut off any circulation.

You want to pull directly from the loop, not tighten from the end of the lace. Pull over the loop to tighten and under the loop to loosen. You don't want to yank from the end because the laces will break and not be tied tightly enough. Start from the beginning and work your way down!
